To provide structural documentation for a juicing plant, and subsequent structural advice for the plant’s processing and electrical requirements, all to a strong brief with set expectations from the client. This was the first stage of the project.
The second stage embellished the facility aesthetics with a sharp, attractive street frontage achieved by closing in the west side of the plant. This also reduced wind chill for plant workers.
- Large 20m x 27m canopy over juicing machinery.
- 11m x 27m canopy over crusher equipment, with delivery ramp, and provision for future extensions.
- 11m x 27m tank farm.
- 13m x 27m truck park.
- 18m x 17m services’ slab.
LHTDesign provided structural design and documentation for all the plant’s infrastructure.
In addition, LHTDesign worked with the client and contractor to ensure that effluent drainage and facilities were appropriate and effective, and met the strict guidelines set out for this type of facility and the site conditions.
Processing of fruit from the first vintage in 2006 went well, and the client is very happy with the function and performance of the facilities.
