BRIEF
This project brief was to expand the winery processing capacity from 500T to over 1000T utilising existing infrastructure.

WINERY DESIGN PROJECT OUTLINE

• Over 300m2 of new concrete slab to falls
• Trade waste disposal with diverter valve for storm water
• 14 additional white wine tanks, providing an additional 450,000 litres of wine storage and processing capability
• Over 40m of stainless steel catwalk, connected to existing through new high level access to the building
• Extension of all services – chilled glycol cooling, warm glycol heating, potable and wash down water, inert gas, compressed air, electrical power, controls and lighting.
• Integration to and upgrade of the SCADA system

LHTDESIGN’S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign provided full winery design as well as structural design, mechanical design, draughting, specification, building consent application, tendering and full project management.

OUTCOME
With the exception of the installation of one tank (delays outside the control of LHTDesign), the winery expansion was completed within the timeframe and ready for the 2010 vintage.
