To provide a Hawke’s Bay winery with an upgraded Cellar Door to provide a stronger, aesthetically pleasing entrance, and more functional wine tasting / sales area. In addition, the winery processing area was expanded to provide greater capacity.
- Converting two offices to create the Cellar Door area.
- Entrance canopy and deck for Cellar Door.
- Tank farm slab, walkway, and drainage to accommodate eight new 40,000 litre tanks.
- Yard slab extension and new drainage.
- New foundations for replacement 14 tonne Receival Bin.
Working to exacting plans prepared by designer Helen Whittaker for client Transfield Worley, LHTDesign prepared detailed documentation for council consent, tenderers and working drawings for the revamping of the Cellar Door. Designs and documentation were also prepared for the associated works to the extended winery processing area.
Meeting tight deadlines to be ready for the 2009 Harvest Hawke’s Bay wine festival weekend, the new Cellar Door was greeted enthusiastically by festival goers and has also proved a functional success.
