BRIEF
To develop designs to increase the capacity of the existing carpark with minimal loss of school grounds, and subsequently develop an adjacent area into a useful play area for pupils.

PROJECT OUTLINE

• Redesign of existing 30 space carpark to allow for 50 cars with appropriate egress and exit from busy foot traffic street.
• Carpark design line marking and kerb levels.
• Layout design of new storage sheds.
• Design of Astroturf play area that includes  tennis and cricket nets.
• Storm water drainage.

LHTDESIGN'S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign worked closely with architect and project manager Judd Dougan Team Architecture to provide behind-the-scenes infrastructure support to rework the carpark area with much of the construction work timed to be completed during school holidays.

OUTCOME
Te Mata Primary School staff, parents and Board are delighted with the increased parking facilities while the children are thoroughly enjoying their new play area.
