BRIEF
To design an extension to the existing workshops suitable for servicing 30 tonne axle load forklifts.

INDUSTRIAL BUILDING DESIGN PROJECT OUTLINE

• 240sq m workshop with 11m clear stud height.
• Five tonne travelling overhead gantry crane.
• Below floor work pit.
• 16m x 10m clear opening entrance doors.
• Material selection and detailing to minimise potential corrosion due to continual salt spray from the nearby ocean.

LHTDESIGN'S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign worked closely with Amtech Construction to deliver a successful design and build proposal and construction.

This involved careful consideration to the Port’s requirements and careful planning with Amtech to achieve detailing that met costing expectations and construction methods.

OUTCOME
The workshop has achieved the needs of both the Port of Napier and Amtech Construction.
