To design nearly 3ha of economic large clear-span transport warehouses with special floors.
- 230m x 80m x 6m stud warehouse with only two rows of internal columns.
- Extension 115m x 75m.
- Heavy duty floors to accommodate forklifts, trucks and high storage on poor ground conditions.
As principal consultants, LHTDesign worked closely with Richard Fyfe Building Contractors Ltd to provide a highly cost effective industrial building design that also permitted rapid construction.
Careful consideration was given to the building owner's requirements and those of the tenant, Heinz Wattie.
The design has proved to be very economic and functional and the floors have performed well.
