BRIEF
To prepare detailed plans for a large steel products warehouse being constructed by the property owner.

PROJECT OUTLINE

• 1300sq m warehouse.
• 32m span steel portals with central post.
• Two five tonne gantry cranes operating the full length of the building.
• High load capacity floor slab.

LHTDESIGN’S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign was employed by property owner, developer and builder Lattey Civil Engineering Ltd to design the warehouse for its tenant, Fletcher Steel.  LHTDesign worked with Bryan Mussan Architectural Design who was responsible for designing the administrative offices.

LHTDesign prepared concept design and costings, and then the detailed plans and specifications along with fire safety design, necessary for building consent and construction.  Assistance during construction was also provided.

OUTCOME
LHTDesign successfully contributed designs that allowed for simple construction yet resulted in a very functional and effective building.
