To design workshop extensions and associated office spaces to cater for the needs of a growing steel fabrication company.

INDUSTRIAL BUILDING DESIGN PROJECT OUTLINE

• 1500sq m workshop extensions clearspan with 120sq m two storey office block.
• Ground floor office space, meeting room and amenities.
• First floor offices with viewing into the fabrication space.
• Exterior building canopy and appearance to raise profile of the workshop.  Also modify exterior of the existing building to change with times.
• 10m wide sliding door for crane rail with SWL of five tonnes.
•  Exterior parking.

LHTDESIGN'S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign worked closely with the client to develop initial concepts that met operational, aesthetic and cost requirements.

These concepts were then developed into full documentation suitable for Resource Consent and Building Consent applications. 

LHTDesign also carried out project management of the different subtrades to achieve the desired result.

OUTCOME
DSK Engineering has used its new  industrial building premise for two years and has been pleased with its functionality.  An additional bonus has been the client’s ability to use all stainless steel components as a marketing tool.  The project requirements were met or exceeded including budget, programme and quality.
