To design a functional and economical building for the property developer that would be appropriate for a new industrial subdivision.
When a lease was signed with Carters Precut, the brief was extended to incorporate their particular requirements.
LHTDesign has been involved with the conceptual and detailed design of an industrial subdivision in Onekawa Napier, and several of the new buildings located there. A number of development concepts were prepared for this particular site, together with costings for the developer Black Robin Holdings. LHTDesign was involved in the provision of detail to enable a lease to be drawn up with Carters Precut.
- Carters Precut requirements included a large open floor space unhindered by columns, large clear door openings (up to 12m) to accommodate assembled wall frames and roof truss elements produced.
- A two storey reception, office and staff amenities space was incorporated in a position that suited product flow and process control.
LHTDesign was engaged to provide a full design service from conceptual design through to Building Consent, and subsequent detailed construction documentation.
LHTDesign also provided a full contract administration and construction monitoring service.
The project was completed within budget and timeframe set at the initial concept design.
Carters Precut is now operating from the building with greatly increased efficiency and capacity.
