LHTDesign has extensive experience in providing buildings to the forestry industry. This includes sawmills for Pan Pac at Whirinaki; Fiji Pine in Lautoka; Tasman Lumber at Kawerau; and Waiariki Ploytechnic at Waipa, as well as many smaller projects, some of which are outline below.
LHTDesign designed a 26m clear span sawmill building and green chain for Fletcher Construction who won a design build contract from Pacific Pine. The buildings were designed in glue-laminated main members and proved to be more economic than alternative steel frames. The plant was moth-balled soon after opening.

1997 Retail Complex - provide structural engineering design and check drawings, Childers Road, Gisborne.
1993 Kilns - design and documentation for two Windsor kilns, provide construction supervision, Tyne Street, Napier.

1982 Design for modifications to building for CCA cylinder, in-feed and out-feed etc, Maraekakaho Road, Hastings.
