BRIEF
To design a clear span building to house state of the art lamb boning facilities plus office, amenities and storage spaces at mezzanine level.

FOOD PROCESSING PROJECT OUTLINE

  • Work top down to facilitate continued meat production in adjacent spaces.
  • Liaise with client and contractor (Mackersey Construction) to provide efficient movement of staff, packaging material and products both during construction and in the finished facility.
  • Provide mezzanine floor hygiene facilities with stringent MAF regulations and specific client needs.
  • Provide links between existing amenities, new amenities, new boning room and new packaging mezzanine.
  • Provide ceiling space and platforms for mechanical plant.

LHTDESIGN'S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign provided full design services for all building works including extensive liaison between client and contractors.

OUTCOME
Progressive Meats has completed a major portion of the building and is using the boning room facility.

LHTDesign continues to work closely with Progressive Meats’ management to achieve economical and practical solutions to the plant’s ongoing expansion needs.
