BRIEF
To design and project manage the progressive development of buildings and facilities to house a world-leading food processing installation.

FOOD PROCESSING PROJECT OUTLINE

  • Conversion of existing buildings to house the first drier.
  • Extension of existing site to house second drier and associated plant.
  • Further extension of site to double production capacity.
  • Includes large raised platforms, overhead feed lines, plant rooms and warehouse space.
  • Construction of two storey office space in conjunction with Judd Fenwick Team Architecture.

LHTDesign provided project estimates and programmes, structural design, design documentation, project management and construction supervision.

OUTCOME
Freeze Dried Foods has successfully expanded its production site over a period of several years at a pace that has been sustainable.  LHTDesign has worked closely with Freeze Dried Foods management to achieve economical and practical solutions to their expansion needs.
