To provide structural and fire safety design for extensive alterations to the Technology Block, Music Suite and more recently the Gymnasium.
- Stage One - 1000sq m addition comprising Music Suite, classrooms and gallery overlooking the gymnasium.
- Stage Two - 900sq m addition to the eastern side of the gymnasium.
- Technology Block - upgrading an out-dated teaching space to become a state-of-the-art facility.
- Gymnasium - creating a new upper storey classroom and viewing gallery, plus ground floor weights and exercise rooms.
LHTDesign worked closely with the principal consultant, BSM Group Architects and the client, Lindisfarne College to develop functional, aesthetic and cost-effective enhancements to the school's facilities.
LHTDesign provided structural and fire safety design documentation for Building Consent purposes and was involved in construction supervision in each case.
Fire safety design for the proposed three-stage redevelopment was also carried out and recommendations implemented for Stages One and Two.
All the new facilites have had good reviews from the school patrons, staff and students.
The projects were finished within time and cost expectations as a result of the consistent effort put in by the project team (BSM Group Architects, LHTDesign Ltd and the contractors).
