- Heavy vehicle loads on poor ground conditions.
- Turning areas for large trucks.
- 700sq m ground floor retail space with no internal columns.
- Staff amenities area.
- Exterior building appearance to be 'super' but building to be 'cheap'.
- Exterior parking and serving areas.
LHTDesign liaised extensively with the client to investigate suitable development concepts for the site. Resource Consent was obtained for a number of these options including the VTNZ / Super Cheap Auto development.
Construction cost budgets were prepared to check the commercial viability of the development. LHTDesign then prepared drawings and documentation for the tender negotiation and consent stages.
The construction and site development were project managed by LHTDesign.
All the requirements of the brief were met to the satisfaction of the client and the end-users.
The VTNZ and Super Cheap Auto buildings along with the Gull Service Station complement each other and allow for comprehensive servicing of the automobile industry.
