LHTDESIGN’S SCOPE OF WORKS
LHTDesign carried out the design and documentation for Building Consent and construction in three parts and co-ordinated the work with the Port of Napier who was carrying out roading and drainage works adjacent to the site at the same time.
Part 1) involved tank foundations drainage and surround slabs.  Part 2) involved the plant room and amenity block.  Part 3) involved drawing up the wharf pipeline.
In addition LHTDesign’s’ mechanical team were involved in the design of the hot water heating system for the tallow tanks.

OUTCOME
The documentation was completed on time and issued for tender, Building Consent and construction.
Construction, although hindered by ground conditions and work being carried out by the Port of Napier, proceeded well with the outcome being a very smart and tidy facility.
