To design an aesthetically-pleasing, practical centre to blend in with other buildings on the site that would meet the immediate and future needs of Hohepa’s administration.
To be energy efficient and designed to reflect the special character of the organisation and the philosophies it operates by.
- 450sq m single storey building incorporating reception area, individual offices plus general office space, interview and board rooms, processing area, staff room and staff facilities.
LHTDesign worked closely with Hohepa to create a functional design that made good use of the unique site available. We provided concept drawings for discussion with the client and for them to take to their Trust Board and community. A preliminary design was followed by full working design drawings (structural, architectural and fire), and documentation necessary for building consent and construction purposes.
Project management services were also provided.
Throughout the building project, LHTDesign maintained a close working relationship with Hohepa and Simkin Construction, the principal contractor.
The new centre has been positively received with good reviews from Hohepa, the Hohepa Trust Boards regional and national, and the wider Hohepa community.
The project was finished within time and cost expectations as a result of the consistent effort put in by the project team.
