BRIEF The Hamilton City Council sort design-build proposals for a new hydrotherapy pool attached to Te Rapa Waterworld to cater for the present and future hydrotherapy needs of the City as identified by the Hamilton Hydrotherapy Trust.
LHTDesign were working in conjunction with Livingstone Builders, ASC Architects and LDP, where successful in winning the bid to provide the facility.
PROJECT OUTLINE
550m2 floor area
A 15m x 8m pool with a wheelchair accessible ramp entry and depths from 900mm to 1500mm
35°C maximum water temperature and the ability to raise the pool temperature to this level quickly
Specially fitted out disability change rooms
Hydrotherapy features such as massage seats and pool side handrails.
Disability change table and hoist (supplied separately)
UV disinfection
Access and details to suit people with disabilities
Energy efficiency
Enclosure building adjacent to and linked to the existing Waterworld facility
