Glen Etive.  Definitely a name to evoke thoughts of Scotland and its highlands.  But instead of a mist-shrouded, heathery peak, it is the iconic Te Mata Peak that greets you from the expansive window wall of Hawke’s Bay’s newest restaurant, and only whisky cellar and tasting room.

Combining our skills and working with local Gemco Construction Ltd in this design build project, we have helped turn our client’s vision into reality.

Owner Kathleen Wright is enthusiastic about the end result.  “It’s absolutely brilliant and far exceeds my expectations,” she says.  “They say the proof is in the pudding, and we are blown away with the response from our diners – it’s been fantastic.”

The LHTDesign team recently toasted the opening of this venue, and enjoyed a sampling of the authentic Kiwi cuisine with its Scottish twist.  We now invite you to do likewise.
